Packing list

  • Passports and visas. Save copies of all the passports on the virtual disk (eg Google drive) or make copies.
  • Medical insurance (international policy).
  • Air tickets. Print boarding passes at the online registration.
  • Hotel reservation, confirmation of apartment reservation and other types of accommodation reservation.
  • Make notes of the travelling route, phone numbers, addresses, contacts.
  • Money on credit cards, cash and foreign currency. Divide into several parts and put it in different places.
  • Mobile phone. Talk to your mobile provider to set the best plan during the journey. Take another phone for a local sim card.

  • If you are traveling on the sea with the kids - then take them to the beach toys, swimming circle etc

Clothes

  • Give a preference to comfortable clothes, do not take high heels, evening gowns and jewellery.
  • Leave your suitcase in place for shopping.
  • Do not take a new shoes. In the cold season it is important that the shoes are not wet, treat it with special creams.

Take mutually complementary things:

  • Few T-shirts for one pair of trousers and shorts, or a skirt,
  • Long-sleeved shirt that can be used over the burned shoulders, if necessary
  • A hat,
  • Footwear for streets and house slippers,
  • Jacket, sweater, etc.
  • Few changes of underwear,
  • Night underwear and bathrobe,
  • Hat for the season,
  • Swimming suit or swimming trunks for a beach holiday, visiting the pool or sauna,
  • Beach towel or a special mat - for lovers of wild beaches with no sun loungers,
  • Rubber slippers - not to step on sea urchins and other animals for entry into the water (in some countries it is necessary), as well as in the pool,
  • Umbrella or raincoat (country / weather / situation)
  • Alarm clock

If you are travelling by car, take the following:

  • Driving license,
  • International driving license,
  • Car documents,
  • Insurance for the car,
  • A green card for the car (most of EU countries require)
  • Navigator or GPS with preloaded maps.
  • Thermos of coffee or tea,
  • A bottle with water, fruits,
  • Cookies, nuts (snacks)
  • Food (sandwiches), At least for the times where you are not be able to stop
  • A plastic cup for coffee and tea,
  • Money in small denominations,
  • A small pillow under your head, ear plugs, eye mask (set to sleep)
  • Plaid (if you go on a journey in the cold season).
